New World passion collides with Old World tradition when Marielle, a recent immigrant, falls in love with a female co-worker, infuriating her brother and jeopardizing her betrothal to a family friend.
Produced through the Canadian Film Centre Short Dramatic Film Program, D'UNE RIVE Á L'AUTRE is a musical drama about a woman who defies her family for love, and pays the price for it. Directed by Maxime Desmons from a script by Lynne Kamm, the short played at numerous prestigious film festivals all over the world, including Cork, Tampere, Sao Paolo, and many others.
